| The airport of Luang Namtha |
|
The Luang Namtha airport is actually under construction and will reopen in April 2008. The new airport has been designed as an international airport and has a runway of 1.6 km which makes landings of larger planes possible |

| The national road N° 3 |
|
which links the Chinese Lao border station of Boten to the Thai border at the town of Houay Xay, was completely reshaped. Therefore from both sides from the towns of Jinghong and Meungla on the Chinese side as well from Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai on the Thai side, Luang Namtha is easily accessible. |

| Two new bus stations |

has been constructed during the year 2007: one on the national road N° 3, about 10 km from town, and the other in the town of Luang Namtha. The later serving bustrips within the province,only. |
