Short description:
Meet at the Tourist Information Office and select your bicycle, before visiting the Luang Namtha Museum . Then, continue cycling to Ban Thong Chai Neua, a Tai Dam village. Watch the local women weaving and the traditional architecture. The trip continues directly to Ban Namdee, a Lanten village, where you are able to see the Nam Dee Waterfall. Here you can walk around, take pictures and take a cooling dip in the pool. The picnic lunch will be served here. After lunch, ride back to Ban Bouam Piang, a Lao Bit ethnic group village and then along the new A3 road to Ban Mai, a Tai Dam ethnic village, to visit the old Wat Luang Khone Temple. From here we continue to Ban Nam Ngaen to observe the distillation of the famous Lao Rice whiskey.
From the village it is only a short walk up to the top of the Tat Poum Pouk Stupa to see the good view of the Nam Tha River valley. Later, continue your ride along the hill slopes on an unpaved road, which passes a village of the Lanten ethnic people. Stop here for a few minutes to visit them, before you arrive Luang Namtha town, where you finish this 1-day excursion.
