Short description:
This 2-days trek begins at Ban Chaleunsouk, a village of Khmu people. The trail winds through forests and upland rice fields and offers great views, overnight in a Khmu tribe village, called Ban Nalan.
Early morning on the second day, offers a pleasant walk following the Nam Ha River, where the old forest, with a dense canopy varies from stands of large hardwoods to new growth of bamboo. From the top of a ridge, there are spectacular views to the north with Luang Namtha visible in the distance. The trail ends at the Lanten village of Ban Nam Lue , where trekkers can purchase local handicrafts at the local ‘village museum'.
